Longer Consultations

Please let our reception team know if you need longer appointments for complex issues, mental health consultations or multiple issues.

Telehealth Consultations

Telehealth is a method of delivering healthcare that involves the use of information and communications technology. Telehealth can be used to provide diagnosis, treatment, preventative and curative aspects of healthcare services. Appointments can be conducted through telephone or video consultation.

To be eligible for a Medicare rebate for our telehealth services, patients must have had a face-to-face consultation with their GP (or another GP in the same practice) in the 12 months before the telehealth service.

If the appointment is regarding your child, your child must be present during the consultation as this is a Medicare requirement.

To participate in a Telehealth session with a doctor you will need:

  • A private and comfortable space

  • A reliable phone line

We also recommend that you limit  all distractions in both your physical environment and your devices to ensure your full focus can remain on the consultation.  Please also avoid driving, eating and/or drinking alcohol during the appointment.

Late or Non Cancellation of Appointments

Please provide a minimum of 2 hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. We can relocate your appointment to someone on our waiting list. If an appointment is missed or reception is not adequately notified a late or non-cancellation administration charge will apply.

Communications Assistance

Patients who require communication assistance are asked to let reception staff know When making the appointment. Please see our Frequently Asked Questions Page for further information.

Test Results

If you need to follow up or discuss results, please make an appointment to see your treating doctor. Reception staff are not able to give results to patients.

Home Visits

Home visits may be available for regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. Assessment via telehealth will be conducted in the first instance.
