Dr Jackie Oku is now offering wrinkle/muscle relaxers at Queensgate Specialist Centre (Level 2, 2 Queensgate Drive, Canning Vale), every Friday from 8th September 2023.
Anti-wrinkle injections are a highly effective method when smoothing and plumping the skin. They are effective for reducing tension in muscles as well. They are made of a natural purified protein which is then injected into a wrinkle causing muscle relaxation.
Areas we treat
· Forehead lines
· Frown lines (glabella)
· Crow’s feet
· Chin lines
· Masseters (jaw line)
· Armpits (for hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating)
Prices
The initial consultation fee of $60 is payable at the time of your booking. There is no obligation to proceed with treatments following your consultation. This fee is deducted from your total fees on the day of your treatment.
Fees for areas treated as follows:
· Forehead lines: $200
· Frown lines/glabella: $200
· Crow’s feet (both sides =1 area): $200
· Masseter injections from $290 per side
· Hyperhidrosis treatment from $490 per side
The product is charged at $10 per unit. The cost per treatment area is based on the guidelines and recommended doses for each treatment area e.g. forehead lines typically require 20 units of product.
Prices listed are exclusive of GST.
How long does it take to work?
It normally takes 2-3 days to start seeing results and optimal results are seen 7-10 days after the injections.
What can I expect during my first consultation?
During your first 30 minute non-obligation consultation, Dr Oku will discuss a treatment plan, advantages, side effects, costs, and expectations of wrinkle relaxers. This information will help you make a more conscious and informed decision. We will also offer to take "before" photos at this time. We recommend before and after photos to help map out your treatment goals. Please note these photos will not be published or distributed.
A maximum of 3 areas can be treated per session.
Do I need a follow up appointment
We recommend making a follow up appointment (30 minutes) 2 to 3 weeks after your initial consultation for a routine review and “after” photos to check on your progress! No additional consultation fees will apply unless top-up treatments are requested. These will be charged at $10 per unit of additional product required.
How long does it last for?
Wrinkle relaxers usually lasts between 3-5 months. However, this can vary due to muscle strength and metabolism.
Is it painful?
The injections are relatively painless and are over very quickly. The eyebrow line is generally the most painful. A very fine needle is used, as are techniques to minimize the pain and make you as comfortable as possible. Numbing cream can be applied prior to your appointment and can be purchased at your local pharmacy.
Are wrinkle relaxers safe?
Our Anti-Wrinkle injections include a naturally purified protein - we don't use harmful or dangerous chemicals.
What product do you use?
We use Xeomin® at Queensgate Medical Centre. Xeomin® is a smart toxin with a double-filtered formula that removes unnecessary proteins, so you get only what’s needed for smoother frown lines, treatment after treatment!

Are there any side effects?
As with any medical treatment, there are side effects, however they are minimal. Some temporary effects can include bruising and a feeling of heaviness in the relaxed muscles. We will discuss these in your consultation prior to treatment.
