Dr Susmita Barua is a RACGP Registrar with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She has over six years of experience in public and private healthcare, having worked across multiple specialties at St John of God Midland, Perth Children’s Hospital, and Bentley Hospital. She completed the Certificate of Emergency Medicine with ACEM in June 2024.

Dr Susmita enjoys the variety of general practice, with particular interests in women’s health, children’s health, mental health, Aboriginal health, and emergency medicine. She also provides iron infusions, Mirena (IUD) removals, Implanon insertions and removals, and wound management.

​

Outside of work, she enjoys baking, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. She speaks English, Bengali and Hindi.

Dr Susmita is available for consultations on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
