COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Am I suitable for anti-wrinkle treatments?
Most adults seeking a non-surgical solution for fine lines and wrinkles may be suitable. Your medical history and goals will be reviewed during a personalised consultation with Dr Jackline Oku.

Does the treatment hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. A fine needle is used, and the procedure is quick. Numbing options are available for added comfort if needed.

How long does the procedure take?
The treatment itself is typically completed in 10 to 20 minutes—perfect for a quick, in-and-out appointment.

When will I see results?
Results may begin to appear within 3 to 5 days, with full effect visible by 10 to 14 days.

How long will the results last?
Most clients enjoy visible results for 3 to 4 months. With ongoing treatments, results can be easier to maintain over time.

Will I look frozen or overdone?
Not at all. Dr Oku’s approach is subtle and natural—designed to refresh your appearance, not change it. You’ll still look like you—just more rested and confident.

Are there any risks or side effects?
Side effects are typically mild and temporary, such as slight redness or bruising. All potential risks will be discussed during your consultation.

Can I have treatment on the same day as my consultation?
Yes—provided you’re medically suitable and happy to proceed, treatment can often be performed during the same visit.

How much does it cost?
Pricing varies depending on the area(s) treated and the amount of product used. A tailored quote will be provided during your consultation.

Why don't you state the name of your product online?
Dr Oku utilises products that have been approved by the Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA), which regulates all anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments as Schedule 4 prescription-only medications. In Australia, the TGA enforces stringent laws regarding prescription-only medication and prohibits the sharing of medication names on social media or any other marketing platforms to ensure consumer safety.
However,  detailed information about the products will be provided to you during your in-person consultation.
