Dr Carina Petersen
GP Registrar
Since graduating from the University of Western Australia in 2020, Dr Carina Petersen has worked in a variety of hospitals across WA, including Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth Children's Hospital, SJOG Midland Hospital, and the health campuses in Broome, Derby, and Karratha. She has worked as a registrar in the emergency department and has also completed the Certificate of Emergency Medicine (ACEM).
Dr Petersen enjoys the variety that comes with general practice and aims to provide holistic patient-centred care. While she enjoys all areas of general practice, she has a particular interest in children and older adults' health, Aboriginal health, and chronic disease management including diabetes and weight loss management. She provides iron infusions, as well as implanon insertions and removals.
In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her loved ones - including her pet rabbits!
Dr Petersen will be consulting from Queensgate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
