Doctors In Training Program

Queensgate Medical Centre is committed to the knowledge transfer from Senior Doctors and mentorship of Doctors in training. The Queensgate Medical Centre team participate in a variety of programs to help the continuous improvement and future of General Practice and guide the careers of our future doctors in Western Australia.

Three of our doctors have permanent roles as tutors within the medical school of Notre Dame. We will occasionally have visiting medical students attending our clinic from the University of Western Australia and Notre Dame University. We also support the GP training program (WAGPET) and are accredited to host registrars who are in their final stages of training. Without this education and guidance, it is impossible for our future doctors to develop the skills and knowledge they need to be safe medical graduates.

We hope that our senior supervisors can provide a nourishing environment for this to occur. We see a wide variety of medical illnesses and chronic health concerns along with a broad demographic of patients. Our teachers are down to earth, easily accessible during consultations and are always happy to offer support and direction. We also offer scheduled protected teaching times, weekly clinical case meetings and regular tutorials.

If you have any questions about our teaching program or you are a GP registrar and interested in being part of our amazing team, please contact our Practice Manager, Kate via email at kate@qgmedcentre.com.au or on 0894561811.
